About Becks

First brewed in 1873 in the port city of Bremen, Beck’s is one of Germany’s most famous beer brands. Known for its crisp, refreshing lagers, Beck’s combines traditional German brewing with a clean, modern flavour profile. Brewed in line with the Reinheitsgebot (German Beer Purity Law), every Beck’s beer is made using only water, barley, hops, and yeast; resulting in a consistent, balanced taste enjoyed across the globe.

From Bremen to the World

Founded by Lüder Rutenberg, Thomas May, and Heinrich Beck, the brewery was built with the ambition to share German beer beyond its borders. Bremen’s location on the River Weser gave Beck’s a head start in becoming a leading export lager, and today the brand is sold in over 120 countries.
