Schlenkerla Weichsel is a traditional Franconian red beer brewed using malt dried over a cherry wood fire. Unlike the spicier character of classic beechwood-smoked beers, cherry wood gives the malt a softer, fruitier and subtly sweet smoky aroma.

It pours a distinctive copper-red colour, while carefully selected aroma hops add delicate berry notes to the complex smoked malt flavour. Full-bodied yet pleasantly drinkable at 4.6% ABV, it offers a smooth balance of gentle smoke, fruit and malt sweetness. Best served chilled with roasted meats, smoked cheeses or hearty German dishes.
