Triumph after triumph for the Bitburger Brewery Group

This private brewery, situated in the South Eifel mountains region, has certainly had its fair share of milestones.

These include launching Bitburger Drive Non-Alcoholic and Bitburger Light in 1992 and becoming Germany’s number one draft beer brand.

In 2005, Bitburger Radler was launched: A refreshing beer based drink made from Bitburger Premium Pils and sparkling lemonade.

Thanks to its lack of artificial ingredients, this sip is not too sweet, making it an easy choice when the occasion calls for a fruity-tasting drink.

Starting in 2007, Bitburger’s traditional brands have been operating as part of Bitburger Braugruppe GmbH.

The brand would also launch Bitburger 0.0% Drive Alcohol-free in Germany, a fantastic addition introducing more variety to Bitburger beers.

In 2009, the Bitburger brand experience world opened, offering visitors a glimpse of the Bitburger brand and the brewery.

The Bitburger brand has also shown its support for the local sports circuit, having sponsored the German Football Association between 1992 and 2018 and Benetton Formula One in 1994 and 1995.

Having celebrated its 200-year anniversary in 2017, Bitburger continues to uphold its core values of care, love, and passion for brewing, which underpin the brand’s high brewing standards.

Its advertising and eye-catching label of white and gold further underlines how this beer brand with its rich history continues to impress with every glass, giving a true German brewed beer experience with every sip.

Popular beer with an exceptional, signature taste

Made according to German purity law, every Bitburger beer brewed at the Bitburger brewery only includes handpicked ingredients chosen for their impeccable purity.

A signature hops taste

Only the best hops are used for every Bitburger brew, Bitburger Siegelhopfen is seen as the “green gold” of this beer range.

These premium hops give every beer its notable aroma and subtle tart taste.

Water sourced with care locally

The quality and taste of any beer are vital to secure that exceptional quality for any premium beer.

For this reason, the Bitburger Brewery sources only the purest water with an exceptional mineral composition directly from the southern Eifel mountains.

The Bitburger malt guarantee

Bitburger Brewery handpicks only the best barley known for its pleasing protein content, good levels of starch, and a high germination capacity.

This gives every pils that barrel-fresh taste, giving each beer a signature character and vibrant colour.

An exceptional maturity process

Bitburger uses only unique yeast that gives its beers unique flavours and supports gentle carbonation during brewing.

These signature yeast cultures make Bitburger beers unique, giving every pils the quality that has allowed it to stand the test of time.

Brewing expertise that brewers in Germany are known for

The unique and premium quality of Bitburger beer is certainly thanks to the trusted brewing processes that are used for every beer produced.

Every brewing process at the brewery starts with barley malted at the Bitburger malt houses.

The careful milling process is a key step in crafting the style and character that Bitburger beers are known for.

Following this, the expert mashing process secures each beer’s balanced sweetness, colour and flavour.

The mash is moved to the lautering tun, followed by adding hops.

Another essential step when brewing Bitburger beers is the main fermentation process.

This can last up to seven days, allowing the beers to age and develop a fresh, young beer character, together with a premium quality.

The Bitburger brewery uses a two-tank approach, ensuring the beer ferments and ages to perfection.

Then, before every beer is bottled, it is filtered once more to stabilise the flavour

These essential steps ensure that the popular Bitburger range remains the benchmark of German beer for years to come.
